The California College of Barbering and Cosmetology (CAL CBC) has put together an excellent online program for cosmetologists, barbers, estheticians and manicurists who want to advance their careers while sheltering at home during the Corona pandemic.

Whether you were already looking for a beauty school, were recently laid off, or were a student attending a school that was temporarily closed, we have a program that will suit you. Online classes run Monday till Friday for 4-6 hours. We have both daytime and evening programs.

For those who qualify, all programs have full financial aid, including grants for tuition and fees and low-interest loans for housing and expenses.

The CAL CBC curriculum is fully digital, using the Milady MindTap program. Each enrolling student is given a Chromebook or iPad and a MindTap license as part of their kit. MindTap is an amazing program that allows access to the full textbook, plus videos, demonstrations and online testing. You can even do mock-board testing from your laptop, whenever you wish.

Note To Transfer Students: If your school is temporarily shut down, you can easily transfer your hours to CAL CBC and continue with our online program. If you intend to return to your original school when it reopens, make sure you check with them first to be sure you can receive credit for 100% of your hours at CAL CBC.

Note on Testing for State Board: As of this writing, the State has suspended testing during the shelter-at-home restrictions. We expect them to reopen after June 1, but no announcement has been made.
